Involved in a few outreaches including monthly visits to a Care Home
House of Salvation strongly believes in valuing all ages in our community, from the very young to the very old; bearing this in mind, we are involved in a few outreaches including monthly visits to the elderly people’s home. A visiting day to the home involves singing hymns and songs, dancing as well as talking to the residents and sharing various experiences and stories about Jesus.
In addition to the spiritual benefits the residents get from the ministration, opportunities are also created for some of them to participate in a performance as they sing along and dance which puts smiles on their faces and brightens their day. Such moments are quite emotional, with some of the relatives and visitors joining in while they watch their loved ones sing away with joy.
Over the years we have seen the residents look forward to the monthly visits.
